Jeff has always had a passion for all things automotive and in 2016 made the decision to leave his position as locomotive engineer to follow his passion in the automotive field. AutoVentures was born! We never anticipated that modifying wiring harnesses for Subaru conversions would become a full-time job... and then some.
In 2018, we began offering full conversions and Sig joined our team as the VW guru.
In 2020, we experienced a huge growth spurt, completing over 100 harnesses, several full conversions, numerous upgrades as well as piloting general automotive repair service.
We are always a work in progress and we continually look for ways to streamline and better serve our customers.
The Volkswagen Guru. Sig bought his first
VW in 1970, a 1965 bug. After paying just $500, driving
it for 30,000 miles and reselling it for $500, he was hooked! In 1984, he received a grant from the DVR and began a VW repair shop not far from our shop here. Business was thriving but once he lost his help in 1993, things slowed down and he made the tough choice to shut down the shop in 1998 and began working maintenance at a local resort. Twenty years later, he'd had enough of the corporate way of things and went into semi-retirement. Great timing for us as we were looking for a VW guy! So in 2018, we were lucky enough to have him join our team!
Connor is the oldest of 3, all boys. He is an avid fisherman and loves the outdoors, always leading his brothers in an adventure! He has received certification in fabrication and welding. He has proven to be a huge asset to our business since joining our team in May 2021. He spent the first year as support for the harness aspect and has since transitioned into fabrication and conversion services.
Jacob joined our team in April 2023 and comes with years of experience of heavy equipment mechanics. He is a previous Vanagon owner and is about to embark on new adventures with a "new" project van! He has been an awesome addition to our team! He is married with one child and loves all things with motors.
